The first year of a child's life is a journey filled with countless milestones, each one marking a moment of growth, discovery, and boundless joy. As parents, there's nothing quite as rewarding as witnessing our little ones reach these milestones, and celebrating them in style is a cherished tradition. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing Lucy's one-year cake smash session in the studio, and it was a delightful celebration filled with laughter, smiles, and lots of messy fun.
From the moment Lucy entered the studio, she was all smiles and giggles. For Lucy's one-year cake smash session, I wanted to create a setting that was both timeless and joyful—a space where she could have fun and make memories. Her parents chose my add-on of cake and custom balloon garland, which adorned the studio with beautiful tones of white and blush balloons, timeless decorations, and, of course, a delicious cake just waiting to be smashed.
Lucy wasted no time getting into the spirit of the celebration. She eagerly dove into the cake, her hands and face quickly becoming covered in frosting as she gleefully explored its sweet texture. The joy and excitement radiating from her were contagious, and soon everyone in the studio was laughing and cheering her on.
These are images Lucy's family will cherish forever and I'm so grateful to have documented this moment for them.
