WEDDINGs | Huyen & Kasin

Huyen (pronounced "Win") and I had never met. They live all the way in Washington state but were having their wedding right here in Nashville. This is where Huyen and Kasin met and went to school, so this place held a lot of memories and friends for them. But if you've ever planned a wedding far away from where you live, you know that is no easy task. You have to coordinate everything over the phone, email and sometimes it can be really overwhelming. Huyen and I had one phone conversation and "clicked", and so they both decided to trust me with one of the most special days of their lives. No pressure! haha We all got to meet a few months before the wedding, when they flew in for a few days to visit and get some wedding details squared away. It's funny when you meet someone in person for the first but feel like you've already known them for forever. We had a great lunch, discussed all the details of their wedding and then we didn't get to see each other again until the big day. And oh, man! What a beautiful day!

As soon as I arrived at their gorgeous venue, Huyen gave all the pretty details to photograph with her invitation suite. Everything was carefully picked out and I love it when brides also think of the little things and incorporate family mementos in their photos.

The couple chose to keep the decor in a very neutral, elegant and classic color palette, with hints of beige, champagne, ivory, and touches of gold and blush. The centerpieces held gorgeous tall floral arrangements, featuring white and blush roses, and beautiful greenery.

Huyen's gown was a stunning Stella York, and Kasin wore Joseph A Banks . Bridesmaids dresses were Vera Wang.

It was a hot, humid summer day with a chance of rain, so Huyen and Kasin made the wise decision of moving the ceremony inside the mansion. I had teary eyes almost during the entire ceremony, watching their family and friends celebrating and cheering for their love, altogether in one room was extremely touching. But my favorite time of the day, was right after the new Mr and Mrs had their first dances with each other, Huyen and her dad danced alongside Kasin and his mom. Towards the middle of the song, all four started dancing together, smiling, crying, celebrating, and it was such a perfect and seamless way for a new family to blend together. I cried all the happy tears! Here are a few highlights of that wonderful day!
