Hannah and Jordan’s wedding was straight out of a fairytale! Even more so to me! From the first time I stepped foot at Ravenswood mansion back in 2018 for a styled shoot I couldn't wait for the chance to photograph a wedding there one day. The opportunity presented itself quite quickly when Hannah contacted me about her wedding a few months later. And then on a beautiful sunny day in April of 2019, it happened!
Set entirely outdoors, the whole day accented the beautiful historic venue from the 1800s, and the gorgeous lush greenery of Marcella Vivrette Smith Park. Touches of blush, lavender and white completed the whole romantic-southern look of the venue and the theme of the wedding, especially combined with the large cross decorated with beautiful floral, at the head of the altar. It all came together for a sweet, elegant and emotional ceremony.
Hannah and Jordan chose to go the traditional route and not see each other until she walked down the aisle, which was so worth it because we all got to see the priceless look on his face as he watched his best friend, accompanied by her father, walk down to marry him. After pronounced husband and wife, they walked back together as Mr. & Mrs. Patterson for the first time, and I got to capture, what was to me, the most special moment they shared that day. That fresh, magical look of "we're married" plastered all over their faces.
The reception was a lot of fun to capture! It featured memorable toasts, amazing Italian food and great dance moves. Even the little ones were got into the spirit and dance the night away!
It was a true honor to be able to be a part of their special day! Hannah & Jordan, thank you for trusting me, my work and my art. I hope you cherish these photos forever!
